Obituary

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Wilma (Bluhm) Reese of Scottdale, our beloved mother, sister, and Oma, to all whose lives she has touched. On Jan. 30, 2021, at the age of 78, she passed away peacefully at Harmon House in Mt. Pleasant.

Wilma was born Feb. 13, 1942, in South Bend, Ind., a daughter of the late John A. and Frances K. (Kendall) Bluhm.

She was a graduate of Scottdale High School, Class of 1960, and furthered her education at Murray State University in Kentucky. For many years, she worked at Rockwood Insurance and later became a licensed practical nurse, which suited her servant heart. Wilma was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Scottdale. She enjoyed music, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.

Her humor, good nature, giving spirit, and famous potato salad and raisin puffs will forever be missed by her loving family: her three children, Amber E. (Reese) Miller and her husband Joseph of State College, Kirby T. Reese and his wife Lori of Hollsopple, and Coleman W. Reese and his wife Emily of Roanoke, Va.; her six grandchildren, Tyler, Chloe, Eli, and Elliot Reese, and Greta and Amanda Miller; her two siblings, Dian Bluhm Brown, and John "Jack" M. Bluhm, both of Scottdale; niece, Marion Soberdash and her husband Troy of Scottdale; nephew, John K. Wicker Reese of Scottdale; and both friend and father of her children, Timothy A. Reese of Naples, Fla.

She was welcomed into heaven by family who preceded her in death and lifelong friend, Joan Baughman Yakimick.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, 724-887-5300, www.fergusonfunerals.com . There will be a private service at a later date for the family.
