Wilma R. (Boyd) Miller, 98 of Smock, (formerly of the Tri-Town area), passed away at 5:19 am
Thursday, May 18, 2017 on her birthday at the residence of her daughter, Patty Stewart with her loving
family at her side.
Wilma was born May 18, 1919 in Warren, Ohio, a daughter of the late Ross and Marie
(Johnson) Boyd. She was married to Harold E. Miller, who passed away in 1981.
Wilma was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She was
baptised in the Dawson Baptist Church and was the oldest member there.
She was a graduate of Dunbar High School, Class of 1936 and enjoyed her family, her grandchildren, music, and doing crossword puzzles.
Wilma will be sadly missed by her loving family: her four children, Doris Huffine of Travelers Rest, S.C.,
Patty Stewart and her husband Ellis of Smock, Jim Miller and his wife Shelly of Dickerson Run, and Donna
Strickler and her husband Tom of Fayette City; her daughter-in-law, Valorie Miller of Liberty; her 21
grandchildren; her 39 great-grandchildren; and her 27 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ray Miller; her infant daughter, Janet Miller and her sister, Jean Haggerty.
