Walter David "Dave" Kimmick, 71, of Ligonier, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022, with his loving family at his side. Dave was born Feb. 6, 1951, in Wilkinsburg, son of the late Dr. Walter Earl Kimmick and Margaret Ann (McElroy) Kimmick. He married the love of his life, Nancy (Petrill) Kimmick, on June 24, 1977. Dave was a devoted husband, father and Pappy. He was a successful chemical salesman and, upon retirement, he continued his love of sales in real estate for 16 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and being a self-proclaimed handyman. He also was so proud to coach his boys over the years in hockey, baseball and soccer. When he wasn't coaching, he was their biggest fan from the sidelines. Dave will be sadly missed by his loving family: his wife of 45 years, Nancy M. (Petrill) Kimmick; and his three sons, David Kimmick and wife, Jessica (Robertson) Kimmick, and granddaughter, Cecilia Kimmick, Brian Kimmick and Stefanie Laskey and granddaughter, Carly, and Jarred Kimmick and wife, Jamie (Donahue) Kimmick and grandson, Lyons Kimmick. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley Kimmick; and survived by siblings, Susan R. Kimmick, Scott A. Kimmick and Michael C. Kimmick; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at ROBERT B FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, PA 15683. This will be followed by a celebration of life service with Pastor Al Petrill officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
