Virginia Lea
Rush
February 7, 1933 – June 4, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Virginia Lea Rush, 92, of Scottdale at 9:05 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Virginia was born on Feb. 7, 1933, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late George and Anna (Felix) Klug. Left to cherish her memories are her devoted husband, Roger C. Rush; her children, Karen Fao (Tony) of Dawson, Kim Schwartz (Mark) of Tarrs, and Roger A. Rush (fiancée Teria) of Hunker; her seven grandchildren, April Wright (Nigel), Deidra and Dominic Fao, Jeremy Schwartz (Alex), Alyssa, Paige, and Felisha Rush (fiancé Matthew); her three great-grandchildren, Amelia and Zavier Wright, and Griffin Schwartz; her sister, Barb DeNicola (Dave); her brother, John W. Klug; and her sister-in-law, Margie Klug.
After graduating from McKeesport High School, she used her clerical talents at Firth Sterling Steel Company as a confidential secretary. A member of the Owensdale United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, Virginia was grounded in faith. Her family was her top priority. She was our role model and source of strength, always had that listening ear and sound advice we all counted on. She loved gardening, singing hymns, giving of herself, drinking coffee, and taking a ride around the farm!
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, George Klug (Janet) and Harry Klug (Margie); her sister, Margaret Klug; and her grandsons, Anthony Fao and Jason Schwartz.
