Victor P. Lukas, 78
of Pennsville, Bullskin Township passed away at 11:55 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at his residence. Vic was born on the Fourth of July, 1945 in Greensburg, a son of the late Gertrude Elvira (Heasley) Lukas Mellinger.
He married Martha Jane (Peterson) Lukas on September 4, 1964.
Vic was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He graduated from South Huntingdon High School, Class of 1963 and was a faithful member of the Grandview Church of God. Vic was employed at the former Volkswagen Assembly Plant in New Stanton, Calig Steel Drum Company in McKees Rocks, Williams house National Envelope, and with Klocek Burial Vault Company at in Mount Pleasant. He was a loyal member of the Scottdale American Legion where he served on the burial Honor Guard detail and was a Gold member of the Hempfield Hunt Club. Vic enjoyed fishing, music, and playing the guitar. A veteran of the US Army, he served as a Private First Class during the Vietnam War and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Vic will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 59 years, Martha Jane (Peterson) Lukas; his two sons, Victor Lukas Jr. and wife Janine of Scottdale and Quinn Lukas and wife Nikki of Springdale; his son-in-law, Joe Yanniello of Mount Pleasant; his three grandchildren, Allyssa Nicole Yanniello, Nathan Henry, and Ryan Lee Lukas; and several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Laurie Lee Yanniello and his brother, Edward James Lukas.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE(www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 12 noon- 4 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 4 PM Saturday with Pastor Tom Shirer officiating. The Scottdale-Everson Honor Guard will bestow full military honors prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to the Honor Guard. Love Lasts Forever!
