Thomas E. Rushton, 77 of Connellsville

(Dunbar Township) passed away at 8:37 AM Monday, May 13, 2024 in the Harmon House Convalscent Center, Mount Pleasant. Tom was born December 12, 1946 in Connellsville, a son of the late James and Anna "Dolly" (Landefeld) Rushton. He married Lois F. (Rosensteel) Rushton on June 27, 1989. They met through a special friend, Lorraine Snyder.

Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was retired custodian with the Connellsville Area School District and a faithful member of the Vanderbilt Church of Christ. Years ago, he worked at Modulus Corporation and at Oglevee Floral. Tom was also a member of the PA Army Reserves and the OH National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rooting for the Steelers and Penguins, along with an appreciation for World War II and aviation documentaries.

Tom will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 34 years, Lois F. (Rosensteel) Rushton; his two daughters, Tammy Pratt and husband Brian of Scottdale and Susan Kash and husband Dan of Monroeville; his two granddaughters, Kara Keffer and Brittany Walsh; his brother, James Rushton and wife Donna of Waltersburg; his two nephews, Greg and Brad; his three sisters-in-law, Sandy Lint, Betty Danner, and Donna Heller; and several cousins.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 RAILROAD STREET, Dawson (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday and from 10-11 AM Friday in the funeral home chapel where Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Friday with his Pastor, Greg Pelc officiating. Chapel committal service and interment will follow in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery.
