Stella May (Murray) Dale, 96, of Penn Laird, Va., formerly of Scottdale, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Oct. 23, 2018, at the home of her daughter, Linda Myers.

Stella was born Aug. 29, 1922, at Hawkeye in East Huntingdon Township, a daughter of the late Charles Howard and Lida May (Rolla) Murray.

She was married to Leonard O. Dale for 56 years; he passed away on April 17, 1997.

Stella was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her loving family: her son, Charles Dale and his wife Mary of Okeechobee, Fla.; her daughter, Linda Myers of Penn Laird, Va.; her 10 grandchildren; her 26 great-grandchildren; her 25 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Ruth Stauffer of Struthers, Ohio; and her six nieces.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Althea M. Gish; her grandson, Charles A. Dale; and her two brothers, William and Gilbert Murray.
