Sarah Jane Hess, 94, formally of Three Springs Pennsylvania, passed away at 11:04 AM Monday, March 20, 2023 in the Bethlan Home, Ligonier, PA. She was born September 2, 1928 in Orbizonia, Huntingdon County, the daughter of Dr. Ralph Cramer Stevens and Ella Salome (Carothers) Stevens. She was married to Charles Wayne Hess, a rural carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 42 years, who passed away on April 25, 2000.

Sarah Jane was employed as a dental hygienist for her father Dr. Ralph C. Stevens and her brother Dr. Joseph O. Stevens and was a member of the Orbisonia United Methodist Church. She enjoyed family, friends and playing bingo.

Sarah Jane will be sadly missed by her family; two sons, Robert Hess and wife Shelley of Chesapeake, VA and David Hess and wife Joy of Latrobe; her granddaughters, Lauren Hess and Natalie Hess; her great-grandson, Gavin Nutter and great-granddaughter Kenzlee Kissner.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Joseph Stevens and Ralph Stevens; and her 2 sisters Maxine Vieau and Eleanor Cladius; and her beloved granddaughter Nicole Lynn Hess.

Funeral arrangements have been made through the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET , SCOTTDALE (www.fergusonfunerals.com). At the request of family a private cremation service was provided. Final resting place will be in Three Springs Cemetery, Huntingdon County. Love Lasts Forever!
