Samuel Edward "Ed" Nudo, 72 of Dawson, passed away at 2:30 pm Sunday, January 22, 2017 in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Ed was born November 12, 1944 in Connellsville, a son of the late Samuel J. and Marie (Orr) Nudo. He was married to Judy Pritts Nudo, who passed away in 1993.



Ed was a lifelong icon of the Dawson area and the longtime owner of Nudo's Tire Sales & Service in Dawson. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School and the Vale Technical Institute. Previously, he worked at Brooks Oldsmobile & Cadillac and at Fisher Body. Ed also enjoyed antiques.



Ed will be sadly missed b his loving family; his son, Doug Nudo and his wife Vicki of Normalville; his grandchildren, Josh Matthews, Sam Nudo III, Cody Nudo, Dawn Marie Yauger, and AJ Fronius; and his longtime companion, Debbie Long and her daughter, Brandi A. Long of Dawson. In addition to his parents and wife, Ed was preceded in death by his son, Eddie Nudo Jr. (2015).

Family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM Thursday and from 2-6 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 6 PM Friday with Pastor Marvin Watson officiating.
