Ronald "Ron" V. Patterson 85 of Bullskin Township, Connellsville, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 3, 2025. He passed peacefully at home with his loving family at his side.

Ron was born August 6, 1939, in Scottdale, PA, the son of the late Mary Mildred "Mid" Gadd Loucks.  Preceded in death by maternal grandparents Clark and Irene Gadd, paternal grandparents Frank and Beulah Patterson and several cherished aunts and uncles.

Ron will be forever loved and missed by his beloved wife of 64 years Patricia Ann Trostle- Patterson, daughter Melanie Burkhart and husband Karl whom he cherished with all his heart, his son and very best friend Daniel and wife Charity Patterson; his grandchildren the pride and joy of his life, Rachel Burkhart (Aaron), Danielle Smarra (August) and Travis Patterson (Mara) his faithful furry companion Chloe. Also survived by his dear sister Janet "Darlene" Cunningham (Bud), brother-in-law Mark Trostle (Nancy) and many nieces and nephews.

He was a long-time member of Harvest Community church. Ron loved his Lord and his family very much; his greatest times were spent around the table at family gatherings. He was an avid camper, hunter and fisherman, he spent many great years enjoying fishing on his boat in Erie and in his retirement many winters in Florida with his wife and dear friends. He will be long remembered by all for his ability to build anything and always had a joke to tell.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home in Scottdale, PA. A public visitation and Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Mt. Olive Evangelical Church 363 Pleasant Valley Rd., Connellsville, PA with visitation and fellowship from 10-11am and Celebration of Life service at 11am. Friends and family will be received following the service for a time of fellowship at Bud Murphy's in Connellsville directly following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations and memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice.
