Ronald C. Bennett, 91
of Vanderbilt passed away at 10:19 AM Friday, June 5, 2026 in WVU’s Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown. Ronald was born on May 3, 1935 in New Kensington, a son of the late Harold and Bertha (Bahr) Bennett. He was married to Joanne (Grezchiwiak) Bennett, who passed away on December 9, 2020.
Ronald was a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. He was employed for close 40 years as a produce manager with Giant Eagle, retiring in 2002. A graduate of New Kensington High School, he faithfully worshipped at Saint Rita’s Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bingo, gardening, vacations to Wildwood, NJ, and frequenting 2nd Hand Stores and yard sales.
Ronald will be sadly missed by his loving family; his four children, Todd Bennett, Allen Bennett, Lisa Timms, and Renea Capella (David); his ten grandchildren, Zachary Bennett (Tara), Nicole Anderson (Ronnie), Isaac Timms (Traci), Cece Biller (Richard), Mary Capella (Jared), Diana Bennett, Kyle Bennett (Jenna), Chelsey Salatino (Sam), Shawn Bennett (Breanne), and Erica Brown; his great grandchildren, Chloe Mulnix (Jacob), Gage Fuller, Ethan Bennett, Hunter Bennett, Ryan Pletcher, Taia, Jacob, Delani, and Nico Anderson, Kendyl and Bennett Biller, Harper, Declan, and Brooks Bennett, Stella Ritenour, Arlo Brown, and Isla and Trace Bennett; his four great-great grandchildren, Lorelai, Twyla, Henry, and Hank Mulnix; his brother-in-law, Stanley “Stush” Lingelbach; his special friends, Chrissy, Duane, Barb, and Lisa; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special fur friend, Ollie. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by; his grandson, Allen “Dinger” Lint; and his siblings, Harold “Sonny” Bennett, LaVerne Berrang, Shirley Neely, Dolores Morrone, Joan Lingelbach, and Beverly Lascek.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 RAILROAD STREET, DAWSON (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 4-8 PM Wednesday and 9:30 AM - 10:15 AM Thursday followed by Prayers of Transfer. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday in Saint Rita’s Roman Catholic Church. Chapel committal services and interment will be in the church cemetery. The family expresses their appreciation to WVU nurses, Trish and Brett for their loving care. Love Lasts Forever!
