Skoot was born Dec. 11, 1985, in Jeannette, a son of Ronald E. Addis Jr. and Leona A. (Barricklow) Addis of Vanderbilt.

Skoot was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, who would be there for anyone in a minute. He graduated from Connellsville High School with the Class of 2004.

Skoot loved the "'Burgh" and rooting for the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing, and he played football and baseball while in school.

Skoot worked as a heavy equipment operator with Arrow Up in Claysville, was affiliated with the Vanderbilt United Methodist Church, and was a recent new member of the Connellsville BPO Elks Lodge #503.

He loved all of his family and friends more than anything.

Skoot portrayed Simon Zealot in a live church play depicting the Last Supper.

He went to be in heaven with his grandmother, Gerri; grandfather, Ronald Addis Sr.; and his pap, Joe Barricklow.

Skoot will be sadly missed by his loving family; his parents,
