Robert William "Bob" Wood, 74, of Greensburg, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe. Bob was born May 28, 1943, in Winston Salem, Forsyth County, N.C., a son of the late George B. and Lillian Inez (Holder) Wood. He married Linda Gale (Cauble) Wood Dec. 8, 2007. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was employed as an avionics manager for 43 years with Piedmont Airlines, US Air, and PACE Airlines in Winston Salem, N.C. A veteran of the Air Force, he worked with the US Air Forces Airlines, and also after retiring, as a part-time customer service representative at Lowe's Home Improvement in Latrobe for four years. He enjoyed fishing, flying airplanes and helicopters. Bob will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 10 years, Linda Gale (Cauble) Wood; his sister, Pat Graf, of Pfafftown, N.C.; his two daughters, Sharron Wood and Yvonne Hullette, both of Wallburg, N.C.; his stepdaughter, Erika Barnes, of Greensburg; his two stepsons, Christopher Barnes, of Greensburg, and Brett Barnes, of Mt. Pleasant; his six grandchildren; and his two great-grandchildren. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B.
