Robert J. Kulczak, 93, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, in Walnut Ridge Memory Care Center, Hempfield Township. Bob was born July 22, 1923, a son of the late Jacob F. and Frances G. (Zwolinski) Kulczak, who passed away March 31, 1972, and June 9, 1981, respectively. He was married to Clara I. (Stankiewicz) Kulczak, who passed away Jan. 9, 1996. Bob retired in 1986 from the former Robertshaw Controls Division in New Stanton, where he was employed in the finance office. He was a faithful member of Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Greensburg and was a former member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic in Everson. Bob was also an Air Force veteran, having served during World War II. Bob will be sadly missed by his loving family. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, including his special great-nephew, Justin Bishop, of New Stanton. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Theresa Smialek and Gertrude Loper; and his two brothers, Tom and Bill Kulczak. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel, where prayers of transfer will be recited at 2 p.m. Friday. Funeral Mass will follow at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Partner Parish of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Everson, with the Rev. Father Andrew Kawecki as celebrant. Graveside committal service and interment will be in the church cemetery with full military honors bestowed by the Scottdale-Everson Honor Guard.
