Robert Dale (Bonehead) Keffer, 54, of Dawson, passed away at 4:42 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, at his residence.

Bob was born July 6, 1966, in Inglewood, Calif., a son of the late Jack and Carolyn (Eubank) Keffer.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother. Bob was a self-employed contractor and past chief, captain, and lieutenant with the Dawson Volunteer Fire Company, to which he volunteered 40 years of service.

Bob will be sadly missed by his loving family: his two children, Christopher "Chris" Keffer and girlfriend Brook Saniga of Dawson and Amanda Keffer and fiancé Joshua Fuller of Connellsville; and their mother, Nicole Keffer of Connellsville; his two grandchildren, Gabriella and Wyatt Fuller; a niece who was more like a daughter to him, Chrysta Schomer; his two sisters, Teresa (Keffer) Schomer of Connellsville and Cathy Helman and husband Max of Shippensburg; his brother, Jeffrey Keffer and wife Theresa of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the Ralph E. Galley Funeral Home, 501 Railroad St., Dawson, 724-529-2611 , www.fergusonfunerals.com . Family and friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 1-5 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. The Dawson Fire Department will conduct a memorial service at 5 p.m. Friday, followed by funeral services with the Rev. Dr. Marvin Watson officiating.

Chapel committal service will be held in Dickerson Run Cemetery.
