Paul R. Porterfield, 92, of Scottdale, passed away at 3:06 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2022, in Hempfield Manor, Hempfield Township. Paul was born Nov, 22, 1929, in Connellsville, a son of the late Clyde and Hazel (Grist) Porterfield. He married Arbutus Joan (Schmuck) Porterfield in 1952.

Paul was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He retired from Fisher Body in West Mifflin after working for over 30 years as a loader. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served as a fireman during the Korean Conflict.

Paul will be sadly missed by his loving family; his son, Tom Porterfield and wife Carol; and his two grandchildren, Carrie Dumm and husband Jeff and Jenn Porterfield, all of Scottdale. He was the last surviving member of the Clyde and Hazel Porterfield family, preceded in death by his seven siblings.
