Obituary

Patricia A. Lint, 76 of Dawson (Lower Tyrone Township) passed away at 12:30 AM Saturday, May 9, 2026 at her home with her loving husband Eugene, sister Dara, and brother-in-law, Kenny at her side. Patty was born on April 24, 1950 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late William L. and Betty Jean (Culler) Colbert. She married Eugene Lint on April 25, 1970.

Patty was a devoted wife and sister. She graduated from Frazier High School, Class of 1968 and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree from the Hopwood LPN School. After graduation, she pursued a career in Nursing, working at LaFayette Manor and Frick Hospital. She also established a personal care home business for 37 years. She volunteered for several weeks in Louisiana during the hurricane Katrina disaster. Patty was a longtime and faithful member of the Vanderbilt United Methodist Church where she served as a member of the United Methodist Women. She loved doing anything that made people happy and content. Patty also loved history, especially of the Tri-Town Area, promoting the Coal & Coke Region that was very much part of the Cochran Family. She also opened her home to the public for Christmas Tours, “a high light” and took pleasure welcoming visitors daily for weeks over the Holidays. Patty was a member of the Tri-Town’s Saturday Afternoon Club, The Tri-Town Area Historical Society, and was the Past Worthy Matron of the Elizabeth Bower Chapter of the Eastern Star in Dawson.

Patty will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 56 years, Eugene Lint; her sister, Dara Hoke and husband, Kenny; her brother-in-law, Richard Lint and wife Rita; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William M. Colbert.
