Obituary

Pastor D. Keith Solomon, 87 of Alverton passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at his residence with his loving family at his side. Keith was born June 22, 1934 in Connellsville, a son of the late Donald M. and Elsie M. (Hawk) Solomon. He married Sharon J. (Adams) Solomon on January 15, 1960.

Keith was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. He graduated from East Huntingdon High School, Class of 1952 and served as a Pastor with the Church of God denomination from the late 1960's until he retired on June 30, 2019. He began his pastorate at the Greensburg Church of God and later served the following congregations: Kecksburg Church of God, Fairview Church of God, Grandview Church of God, and Mount Tabor Church of God. Keith was employed for many years as an investigator for retail Equifax Credit and Old Republic. He was an avid reader and history buff, collected numerous books, and was a noted storyteller!

Keith will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 62 years, Sharon J. (Adams) Solomon; his two sons, Jon Scott Solomon (Pam Soforic) and James Drew Solomon (Lori Beal and her daughter, Cassie); his grandchildren, Ryan Solomon (Ashleigh) and a granddaughter; his great grandchildren, Rylie, Dylan, Ellie, and two other great grandchildren; and his sister, Karen Johnson of Scottdale and her family.

(www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received on Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 2-3 PM in the Fairview Church of God. A memorial service will follow at 3 PM with Pastor Scott Leichliter officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairview Church of God, 2197 PA state route 982, Mount Pleasant, PA 15666. The family extends appreciation to Amedysis Rehab and Hospice and also to Dr. Mark Williams for their loving care.
