Nancy Lee Whitacre, 72 of Vanderbilt (Franklin Township) passed away at 8:25 PM Saturday, August 5, 2023 in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown. Nancy was born December 8, 1950 in Perryopolis, a daughter of the late George W. and Nellie (Howser) Brown, who passed away on March 10, 2006 and April 15, 2003 respectively. She married Mark W. Whitacre on September 25, 1976.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an Emergency Medical Technician working with Fayette Emergency Services.

Nancy will be sadly missed by her loving family; her three children, Michael J. Whitacre and wife Jeanne of Florida, William D. Thomas and wife Lisa of Vanderbilt, and Crystal Lee Bruich and husband James of Vanderbilt; her seven grandchildren: Jessica Whitacre (Kaitlyn), Zachary Whitacre (Pamela), Lucas Bruich (Monica), Aden Bruich (Lauren), Raelee Bruich, Cade Thomas (Chloe), and Zoey Thomas; her two great granddaughters, Hazley and Saylor Bruich; her siblings, Georgia Vinsick and husband Michael, Denise Pirilla and husband Brian, Jeff Brown and wife Gail, Ellen Pike and husband Gregory, Barry Brown and Melissa Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Casey Whitacre in 1992.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 RAILROAD STREET, DAWSON (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Private visitation and service was held at the convenience of the family. Burial took place in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery. Love Lasts Forever!
