Nancy J. (Clark) Shupe, 86 of Scottdale passed away at 6:08 am Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Eicher's Personal Care Home at Normalville in Springfield Township. Nancy was born April 2, 1930 in Scottdale, a daughter of the late John Lloyd and Mary (Campbell) Clark. She was married to Herman B. Shupe, who passed away on April 28, 2013.
Nancy was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a graduate of Scottdale High School, Class of 1948 and worked for over 25 yeas as a driver for Groomes Transit. Nancy was a faithful member of Pennsville Baptist Church, who enjoyed her flower garden, traveling, canning, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also an inspirational member of TOPS in Scottdale.
Nancy will be sadly missed by her loving family; her daughter, Kathy S. McLaughlin and her husband James of Scottdale; her two sons, David H. Shupe and his wife Joanne of Scottdale and Rev. Ronald L. Shupe and his wife Rita of Mifflintown; her five grandchildren, Jennifer McLaughlin, Jeffrey McLaughlin and his wife Jessica, Christy Shalev and her husband Josef, Michelle Willatt and her husband Wade, and Heidi Turns and her husband George; her eight great grandchildren, Joshua, Josiah, Noah, and Naomi Shalev, Ethan and Lucas Turns, Tyler McLaughlin, and Malachi Willatt; her three sisters, Wilda Oswald of Everett, WA, Maryann George of 29 Palms, CA, and Patty Harris of Belle Vernon; her two brothers, Robert Clark of Scottdale and Dean Clark and his wife Judy of New Stanton; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Harper Janelle McLaughlin on November 20, 2012; her two brothers, John and Jay Clark; and an infant brother, Leslie Scott Clark.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday with Pastor Robert Bixel officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will follow in Scottdale Cemetery next to her late husband.
