Mildred G. "Mid" Guesman, 90, of Scottdale, passed away at 6:12 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Mid was born Jan. 13, 1932, in Scottdale, a daughter of the late James C. and Edna (Mitchel) Lane. She was married to Jack R. Guesman, who passed away June 21, 2014. Mid was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was employed for many years as a clerk and assistant with Scottdale Pharmacy and was a longtime and faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church in Scottdale. A graduate of Scottdale High School, Class of 1950, she enjoyed playing bridge, sewing and baking. Mid will be sadly missed by her loving family; her daughter, Diane Yoder and husband, Mark, of Connellsville; her three grandchildren, Christin Carmichael and husband, Greg, of Bear Rocks, Ryan Yoder and wife, Brittany, of Connellsville, and Doug Yoder, of Scottdale; her seven great-grandchildren, Nathan, Toby, Danica, Bentley"Bubba", Daxton, Henley and Lilah; her great-great-grandchild, Kanomi; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of the James and Edna Lane Family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Earl Lane, Dorothy "Dot" Kuhns and Wilmer "Wib" Lane. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale, www.fergusonfunerals.com . Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Tom Shirer officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will be in Scottdale Cemetery next to her late husband.
