“Bobby” Capella

Michael Scott "Bobby" Capella, 62, of Dawson, passed away at 2:59 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Bobby was born Dec. 7, 1958, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Nicholas Eugene and Helen Belle (Davis) Capella. He married Carol A. (Newell) Capella on Sept. 6, 1985.
Bobby was a devoted husband, father, and a step-grandfather. He was employed for many years as a laborer on drilling rigs for various companies in the oil and gas industry. A graduate of Connellsville High School, Class of 1977, he was also a member of the NRA, the Perryopolis VFW Post and the Star Junction Fish & Game Club. Bobby enjoyed shooting in the trap league with the Rostraver Township Sportsman's and was an avid hunter.
Bobby will be sadly missed by his loving family, his wife of 35 years, Carol A. (Newell) Capella; his two sons, Michael Capella and girlfriend Katie Wilson and Nicholas Capella and girlfriend, Rachel Kinneer; his step-grandchildren, Kobe, Sissy, and Hunter; his brother, David Capella and wife Renea of Dickerson Run; his nieces, Nicole Anderson, Mary Capella, and Melissa Dunlap; his father-in-law, Terry Newell (Nonnie Colbert); his brother-in-Law, Butch Newell (Kelli); and his loyal pet dogs, Spike and Penny. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother in-law, Barbara (Swink) Newell (2011).

Family and friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. Thursday and 10-11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Dr. Marvin Watson officiating. Chapel committal service and interment will follow in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery. The family extends appreciation to the staff, doctors, engineers, and caregivers of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital (Heart & Vascular Institute). Love Lasts Forever!
