?MARY JANE (Stover) VANDERAU
Born June 1, 1932, passed away peacefully in the company of family on June 9, 2018 in Ruffs Dale, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Thelma Stover, her wonderful husband Donald Irvin Vanderau, and her loving sister, Shirley (Glenn) Shoemaker. She is survived by a brother, Richard (Linda) Stover, 8 children: Donald Allan (Donna), William (Renee), Regina (Terry) Taylor, Vicki (Allen) Anderson, Julie (Gene) Kiser, Tommie (Bianca), Susan (Charles) Shackleford, and Shane; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She enjoyed life to the fullest raising her (8) children, playing cards, and drinking with her friends, going with her husband when he played in the bands, going to the clubs in Chambersburg, playing darts and bowling when she lived n Friendswood, TX. She worked with Jean Stapleton and John Ritter at the Totem Pole Playhouse where she made costumes. She worked at Conrad's Restaurant as a waitress and a seamstress at Glasgow's, Stanley Company, and Ben's Menswear. While raising her children she enjoyed making hoagies and being a hair stylist at home. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Many thanks to Medi Home Hospice.
