Mary E. (Hawk) Springer, 69, of Ruffs Dale, passed away at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at her residence. Mary was born Nov. 14, 1951, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Edith (Thomas) Hawk. She was married to Clarence T. "Sonny" Springer Jr., who passed away on June 26, 2006. Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed her grandchildren, adored her great-granddaughter, and loved doing crossword puzzles. Mary will be sadly missed by her loving family, her two daughters, Sheila Ohler and companion, Daniel Williams, of Connellsville, and Wendy King and husband, Andrew, of Ruffs Dale; her stepson, Robert Springer and wife, Lori, of West Newton; her four grandchildren, Dustin, Stanley, Megan, and Kaylee; her great-granddaughter, Raylynn; her four sisters, Viola Febringer, of Ohio, Minnie Gowatski and husband, Henry, of Smithton, Helen Pirl, of Rockwood, and Linda King, of Somerset; her brother, James Hawk and wife, Rose, of Scottdale; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Sherrie Williams; her son-in-law, Scott Ohler; her two brothers, Elmer and Vernon Hawk; and her two sisters, Pauline Flynn and Thelma Dukich.
