Mary M. (Grega) Pospisil, 65, of Scottdale, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015, in Latrobe Hospital. Mary was born Dec. 15, 1949, in Mt Pleasant, a daughter of Steve J. Grega and the late Margaret Luckage. She was married to Donald F. Pospisil, whom she married July 18, 1970, and recently celebrated their 45th anniversary with. Mary was a member of the partner parish St John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas No. 314. Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School, Class of 1967, and part of the first graduating class to inscribe her name on the Mt. Pleasant water tower. She was employed as an office worker for Super Value of New Stanton with 10 years of service. Mary was a member of the TREA Ladies Auxiliary, Chapter 98. She enjoyed reading, watching soap operas and movies. She was passionate about pets and animal care organizations. In addition to her husband and father, Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter, Melinda L. Stimmel and her husband, Tom, of Everson; her granddaughter, Morgan Stimmel, of Everson; her sister, Helen D. Lipko and her husband, Daniel, of Martinsburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Mary's family would like to express a special thank you, to her niece and caregiver, Michelle Culler and the Latrobe Hospital doctors and nurses. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel where parting prayers will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in the partner parish of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale, with the Rev. Leonard Stoviak and the Rev. Andrew Kawecki as co-celebrants. Graveside committal service and interment will be in the church cemetery. The TREA Ladies Auxiliary No. 98 will have a service in the funeral home.
