Martha Ann Ambrose, 93, of Scottdale, passed away at 7:24 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18. 2021, on her late husband's birthday, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Martha was born Nov. 12, 1928, in Sandford, Fla., a daughter of the late Charles Law and Sara Margaret (Seton) Britt. Martha was raised by her paternal grandmother, Martha Britt and her aunt, Mayme Britt in Connellsville. She was married to Roy Ambrose Jr., who passed away on July 30, 2014. Martha was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Geibel High School and was the proprietor of the former Dairy Delight in Connellsville. In later years, she worked for Sears in their business office. Martha was a faithful member of the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Scottdale and she took enjoyment in working puzzles and playing bingo! Martha will be sadly missed by her loving family: her two children, Alan Ambrose and wife, Lauretta, of Mt. Pleasant, and Connie Heide and husband, Marshall, of Mammoth; her granddaughter, Lori Champagne; and her special friend, Rachel Ann Kim. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret; and her two brothers, Charles and William. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale (724-887-5300 / www.fergusonfunerals.com / GPS: N40 degrees 06.136, W79 degrees 35.278). Family and friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel, where prayers of transfer will be recited at 10:30 a.m. Monday. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Partner Parish of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Elmer Alforque as celebrant. Private entombment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Bullskin Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Blackburn Center at 1-888-832-2272.
