Mark Cameron Alt, aged 66 , f ormer resident of Scottdale , 1975 graduate of Southmoreland, 1980 graduate of Penn State (BS in Biology and Wildlife Management) , and 2009 graduate of St. Mary's University of Minnesota (Masters of Science in Project Management) , has gone to be with the Lord .  He worked for ProBuild in Colorado, Goodyear in Ohio, and Best Buy Internati onal in Minnesota.  His travels covered all 50 states, parts of Canada, China, Turkey, Greece, London, Ireland, Hungary, Slovakia , Vienna, Luxemburg, Germany, Brussels , Poland, and Mexico. He was a very generous man who has literally given the shirt off of his back to those in need, was full of life, passion s , curiosities , and talents.  He loved to sing and was a member of The Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company in Minnesota, Colorado, and Pittsburgh , he was an avid bird watcher, and he loved to read, bicycle the GAP, woodcarving, painting, and sharing stories. He is predecease d by his father, William S. Alt , mother, Alice (Mini) Alt, and his brother William F. Alt.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years , Shirley Alt (Barron) formerly of Scottdal e , daughter, Sarah Alt of North Carolina, and so n, Cameron Alt of New Hampshire as well as his brothers, Brian Alt of New Jersey, David Alt of Mt. Pleasant, and Matthew Alt of Florida.  There will be a small private party c elebrating his life on Saturday .
