Marjorie (Margie) Lou Herrington 92, of Scottdale passed away peacefully Friday, December 1, 2023 at her home. Margie was born February 13, 1931 in Scottdale, a daughter of the late Lawrence M. and Doris M. (Schultz) Burkhart.
Margie is predeceased by her husbands William Jones in 1971 and William C. Herrington in 2003; her sons William L. Jones and James Robert Herrington; her brothers James, Karl, William, and Ronald Burkhart; and her sisters Audrey Herrington and Dorothy Younkin.
She will be sadly missed by her loving family, her children Pamela S. (John) Richey, Douglas R. Jones, Randy S. (Susan) Jones, Sheree M. (Jeffrey) Eicher, Jeffrey A. Jones (Koki), William (Dody) Herrington, Melissa Herrington, and Anita Kathleen Caldwell; her sister Patricia A. Baird; her sisters-in-law Joann Burkhart and Mary Burkhart; Along with her 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all her nieces, nephews, and all who loved her.
She attended East Huntingdon High School. Margie was a lifelong member of Jacobs Creek Methodist Church and Christian Workers Class. She enjoyed traveling & fun filled vacations, cooking and baking for family weekly dinners. She also enjoyed sharing her infamous Red Cake with her family and friends to enjoy. Her favorite pastime was playing cards.
Margie's husband was a patient at the Harmon House for 12 years, she continued her heartfelt daily visit's to friends she made for another 10 years. Marge would tell her family, "If I can bring someone happiness and make them smile, there's nothing I could be doing more important than that."
Margie was so very blessed to have the loving care from her special son Doug and her caregivers Sandy, her granddaughter Stephanie, Kelly, Teresa, and Ruth.
A special thanks to Amedysis Hospice Staff especially Shana, Pastor Brian Swan and Dr. Paul Means. We would also like to extend our thanks to Dr. Mark Williams for his compassionate care for our mother. Her loving heart and sweet smile will last in our hearts forever.

Family and friends will be received from 3-8 PMThursdayand 10-11 AM Friday in the funeral home chapel followed by funeral services at 11 AM Friday with Pastors Robert Bixel and Brian Swan co-officiating. Graveside committal service and interment will be in Scottdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Jacobs Creek Methodist Church, 5543 Scottdale Dawson Road, Scottdale, PA 15683in her memory. Love Lasts Forever!
