Obituary

MARGARET E. (BOWMAN) BARKO, 86 of Connellsville, went home to be with her
Lord at 10:34 am Friday, April 21, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.
Margaret was born August 22, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant Township, a daughter of
the late Robert Leroy and Lida Theresa (Creighton) Bowman. She was married
to Louis A. Barko, who passed away on April 1, 1998.



Margaret was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was
previously employed at Pechins Market, Anchor Hocking, and Connellsville
Sportswear. Margaret was a member of the Grandview and Fairview Church of
God.



Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving family; her three children,
Regina Feniello and her husband Robert of Connellsville, Margie Halkowitz
and her husband Ronald of Brownsville, and Dennis Barko and his wife Kathy
of Bullskin Township; her two step-children, Nancy Brashear of Belle Vernon
and Joel Barko of Ruffsdale; her seven grandchildren, Dawn Hladik, Christi
Bigam, Rhonda Green, Shawn Halkowitz, Derek, Danielle, and Dustin Barko; her
numerous great grandchildren; her two sisters, Mary Cumberland of Wooddale
and Frances Barko and her husband Ted of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and
nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death
by her granddaughter, Deanna Barko; her four sisters, Gerry Collins, Ethel
Bowman, Dorothy Hostetler, and Clara "Tammie" Barko; and her five brothers,
Robert, Kenneth, Braden, Herbert, and Melvin Bowman.



Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the
ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE (724-887-5300

degrees 06.136, W79 degrees 35.278). Family and friends will be received
from 4-8 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be
held at 11 AM Tuesday with Pastor Keith Solomon officiating. Graveside
committal service and interment will follow in Alverton Cemetery. Love Lasts
