Lucia M.
Parker
November 7, 1931 – February 22, 2021
Lucia "Lucy" M. (Eannotti) Parker, 89, of Scottdale, formerly of Kingview, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Lucia was born Nov. 7, 1931, in Sewickley Township, a daughter of the late Felice and Loretta (Viola) Eannotti, and was the last of nine children. She was married for 50 years to Carl W. Parker prior to his death on Dec. 7, 2009.
Lucia was a graduate of Youngwood High School, Class of 1950, and locally worked at the former Fort Pitt Shoe and Century Furniture companies in Scottdale. She started her own business, Affordable Clothing, in the 1980s and was very active in community volunteering as manager of the Salvation Army Service Unit, as past president of the Scottdale Business & Professional Women, and as a former member of the Kingview Ladies Club. She was a longtime and faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Scottdale, actively involved in church functions until her health declined. Her hobbies included taking day trips, crocheting, knitting, sewing, playing cards, and canning. Lucia had a servant's heart and lived to help others!
Lucia will be sadly missed by her loving family: her two children, Karen Parker of Scottdale and Loretta Galloway of Mt. Pleasant; her two granddaughters, Debra Hernley and husband Justin of Ohio and Angela Kennedy and husband Gregory of Scottdale; her great-grandchildren, Lucie, Liberty, Lyla, and Lena Hernley, and Elliot, Everett, and Ainsley Kennedy; her brother-in-law, Peter Cost; special friends, Vincent Gaudiello and Mary Millward; and several cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Alice Policastro, Frank Eannotti, Genevieve Garafalo, Anna Eannotti, Josephine Hood, Anthony Eannotti, Felicia Cost, and Edward Eannotti.
