Obituary

Lisa Ann (Jankowski) Stouffer, 58, of Scottdale (Kingview), passed away at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at her residence. Lisa was born Jan. 22, 1964, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Michael Jankowski and Mary Ann (Potoka) Jankowski Gelet. She grew up in Old Bethany, East Huntingdon Township, but later moved to Scottdale where she met and married John Stouffer and they together had three children, Ashley, John, and Jessica Stouffer.

Lisa worked at several establishments in Scottdale including Burns Drug Store, Geyer Performing Arts Center, Christ United Methodist Church, and recently Calvin United Presbyterian Church (CUPC) where she was a member and served as church secretary.

Lisa started her battle with cancer in 2019 and worked two jobs while doing so. Although she was very courageous throughout her fight, she never fully recovered from the loss of her son, John in 2012 and having to leave her job at Christ United Methodist Church (CUMC) in 2018. When people told her she was a strong woman, she'd always laugh and say that she was just stubborn.

Lisa loved her family, her friends, and her many pets. She also appreciated the support of her CUMC friends, her CUPC family, the staff at Excela Health Frick Hospital, and at Dr. Morcos' office as well.

Lisa liked to read, build puzzles, do puzzle books, and liked to watch movies.

Lisa will be sadly missed by her husband, John Stouffer; her two daughters, Ashley Stouffer of Scottdale and Jessica Stouffer of Mt, Pleasant; her many pets; her siblings, Rose Overly and husband Chuck of Mt. Pleasant, Dennis

Jankowski and wife Pat of Scottdale, and Gene Jankowski of RuffsDale; her several nieces and nephews; a half-sister, a stepbrother, a stepsister, and numerous other family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother's second husband, Charles Gelet, who was like a father to her; her son, John Carl Stouffer (2012); her sister, Cindy Lowhigh; her niece, Melanie Overly; her nephew, Justin Jankowski; and her half-brother, Michael Jankowski.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING ST., SCOTTDALE ( www.fergusonfunerals.com ). Family and friends will be received from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Doug Yauger officiating.
