Linda C. Babyak, 67, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Linda was born May 15, 1948, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Chauncey A. and Anna Elizabeth (Fritz) Zimmerman. Linda was married to Joseph William Babyak, who passed away Aug. 25, 2009. Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. Years ago, she worked as a cook for Kennywood Park and recently was baptized a Catholic. Linda enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Linda will be sadly missed by her loving family: her five children, Joseph R. Babyak and his wife, Michelle, of McMurray, William J. Babyak and Melinda D. Babyak, both of North Huntingdon, Christine M. DeMarchi and her husband, Kevin, of West Newton, and Beth Ann Privett and her husband, Jeremy, of Monroe, N.C.; her five grandchildren, Amanda, Andrew, Steven, Sarah and Jennifer; her beloved sister, Faye Smith and her husband, Eugene, of Penn Hills; her sister-in-law, Nancy Zimmerman, of Saltsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chauncey Zimmerman.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or service. Professional service was provided by the Westmoreland Cremation Service at 1-877-cremate.
