Leslie "Blake" Gribble, 71, of Scottdale, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021, at his residence. Blake was born Nov. 13, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Joseph H. and Martha (Stoner) Gribble. He married Lynne D. (Miller) Gribble on Dec. 11, 1971. Blake was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He graduated from Southmoreland High School, Class of 1968, and served as a Private First Class in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired from SCI-Greensburg, where he was employed as a guard, and also from the Elliott Co. in Jeannette. A naturalist, Blake will be missed by his grandpuppy, Ivy Mae! Blake will be sadly missed by his wife and best friend, Lynne D. (Miller) Gribble; his two sons, Matthew Gribble, of Scottdale, and Sean Gribble, of Ellabell, Ga.; his grandson, Kaleb Gribble; his two stepgrandsons, Tyler Wagner and Bradley Anderson, all of Port Wentworth, Ga.; his father-in-law, Waide Miller Sr.; his sister, Nancy Barclay and husband, Paul; his stepsister, Louise Lederach and husband, James; his sister-in-law, Dianne Sullenberger; and his brother-in-law, Waide Miller Jr. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale. At the request of the decedent, there will be no viewing, visitation or service.
