Kristin A. (Knipple) Leonard, 52, of Connellsville, formerly of Scottdale, passed away at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, at her residence. She was born March 25, 1965, in Scottdale, a daughter of Ronald L. Knipple, of Scottdale and the late Margery J. "Marge" (Bieber) Knipple, who passed away on Oct. 1, 2016. Kristin married John E. Leonard on Sept. 22, 2011. Kristin was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. She was a lover of animals, and was the proprietor of Kris's Doggie Den in Scottdale for many years. Kristin was also a graduate of Southmoreland High School in the class of 1983. Kristin will be sadly missed by her loving family; her husband of six years, John E. Leonard; her two sons, Alex Byers, of Scottdale and Blake Breakiron, of Connellsville; her brother, Scott Kippel, his wife Delaine and their son Branden, of Dawson; her father, Ronald L. Knipple, of Scottdale; and numerous loving relatives and friends.
