Obituary

KENNETH W. "EAK" SUTER SR., 80 of Ruffs Dale passed away at 10:45 PM Friday, May 2, 2025 at his residence. Ken was born on February 16, 1945 in Ruffs Dale, a son of the late Worthe G. and Leona Sylvia (Long) Suter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert "Bo" Suter, Worthe G. "Joner" Suter Jr., and Betty "Mouse" Lynch Gravely.

Ken will be sadly missed by his loving family; his loving wife of 51 years, Debra J. (Germock) Suter; his son, Kenneth W. Suter Jr. and his wife Lisa of Ruffs Dale; his daughter, Brandie Zelenka and her husband Troy of Vanderbilt; his grandchildren, Brittany (Suter) Conway and her husband Spencer of Ruffs Dale, Kenneth W. Suter III and his girlfriend Rita of Ruffs Dale, Troy Zelenka Jr. and his wife Allie of Belle Vernon, and Kyrrah Leona Zelenka of Vanderbilt; his great grandchildren, Jesse, Kenzlee, Lily Mae, Veronica, Kenneth IV, Kaysen, and Kamdyn; his three brothers, Emerson "Merle" Suter, Ronald "Bruzz" Suter, and Jackson "Goo" Suter all of Ruffs Dale; his three sisters, Dorothy "Punk" Miller of Ruffs Dale, Charlotte "Hoot" Williams of Ruffs Dale, and Barbara Kuhn of Alverton; and multiple nieces and nephews.

Ken was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who enjoyed mushroom hunting, spending time with his family, and doing for others that needed him to fix something and never asked for anything in return. He had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed! Ken was a member of the PA Army National Guard for six years and was employed for many years at Ozone, Christy Park, and Gerald King Lumber. He also owned a sawmill business with his two brother's called Triple S. Lumber and worked as a machinist at US Steel, retiring after many years.
