Kenneth Allan Shannon, 60, of Scottdale, passed away at 12:08 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021, in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Kenny was born Sept. 18, 1960, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late James and Irene (Ansell) Shannon. Kenny was a devoted brother and uncle and a graduate of Southmoreland High School, Class of 1979. He was employed as a truck driver with PennDOT and formerly worked at Klocek Burial Vault Co. and at Cavanaugh Trucking. Kenny was a loyal member of the Everson Volunteer Fire Department where he served as former president. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Kenny will be sadly missed by his loving family, his siblings, James Shannon and wife, Ruth, of Scottdale, Susan Shannon, of Everson, Kevin Shannon and wife, Joann, of Scottdale, and Jeff Shannon and wife, Carol, of Acme; and numerous nieces and nephews, including his special niece, Roseann Shannon and fiancee, Kevin Pletcher, both of Acme.
