Joseph D. "Jody" Patton, 53, of Connellsville, passed away at 9:56 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, in the Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College. Jody was born Oct. 29, 1967, in Latrobe, a son of Nancy L. (Slater) Peterson, of Scottdale, and the late Kenneth W. Patton, who passed away Sept. 25, 2020. He married Sandra A. "Sandy" (Alsdorf) Patton May 22, 1993. Jody was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather and brother. He was a graduate of Southmoreland High School, Class of 1985, and enjoyed the outdoors, photography and cameras. He also cherished his pet dog, Houdini, who passed away recently! Jody will be sadly missed by his loving family, his wife of 28 years, Sandra A. "Sandy" (Alsdorf) Patton; his mother, Nancy L. (Slater) Peterson and her husband, William; his four children, Cornelia Boyer and husband, Joseph, of Meadville, Amber Lynn Patton, of Connellsville, Aaron Joseph Patton, of San Diego, Calif., and Emily Ann Patton, of Morgantown, W.Va.; his granddaughter, Paitynn; his siblings, Kenneth "Wes" Patton and wife, Jeanine, of Scottdale, Angela Smouse and husband, George, of Scottdale, Michael Patton and wife, Betty, of Scottdale, Billie Jo Mauler and husband, James, of McDonald, Jason Patton and wife, Kelly, of Fountain Inn, S.C., Benjamin Patton and wife, Michelle, of Cranberry Township, Brook Peterson and wife, Sheila, of Scottdale, and Daniel Peterson and wife, Buffy, of New York; and numerous nieces and nephews.
