Jon Patrick Joseph Weston, 70, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on September 15, 2026. He was born June 28, 1956, in Port Washington, Wisconsin, to the late Donna Butler and Burke Weston. He was raised by his father, Burke, and stepmother, Shirley Weston.

Jon spent many years working in construction. He was a hardworking and independent man who found joy in the simple things in life. He loved his family deeply, but was also content in his own company and enjoyed the quiet and independence that came with it.

Jon had a love for the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. One of his favorite traditions was his yearly fishing trip to Erie with his son, Jon, where they would spend the day together on a charter boat. He was also a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and loved cheering on his team. Jon enjoyed listening to music, especially the songs of Tom Petty, which were a favorite soundtrack throughout his life. One of Jennifer's favorite memories was the many concerts her dad took her to during her teenage years, sharing his love of music with his daughter, and giving her memories she will always carry with her.

Jon will be deeply missed by his children, Jonathan Weston and his fiancée, Erin, and Jennifer Tarasky and her husband, Michael; his grandchildren, Lilliana, Avery, Quinn, and Michael; and his siblings, Gary, Cheryl, Scott, Rick, Kris, and Jan.

Jon also leaves behind his former wife, Beverly Weston, who, despite their divorce, continued to care deeply for Jon and was there for him throughout his life. Her compassion and care are a meaningful part of the story of Jon's life and the family they shared together.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donna Butler and Burke Weston; stepmother, Shirley Weston; and brother, Steve Weston.

Perhaps also waiting for him on the other side is Baby, also known as Princess Carrie Lee Ann, the beloved family dog they lost many years ago. Jon would surely be happy to be reunited with her.

There will be no viewing or formal services. A private celebration of Jon's life will be held at a later date with his immediate family, where they will come together to honor his life and the memories they shared.

In keeping with Jon's love of the outdoors, his family asks that you please remember Jon the next time you're fishing. Cast a line, enjoy the outdoors, and think of him. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to Hecla Sportsmen’s Club for their youth fishing program.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
