John R. Davis Jr., 62, of Ruffsdale, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2016, at his residence. John was born Feb. 17, 1954, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late John Richard "Dick" and Frances Marie (Kropp) Davis, who passed away Sept. 2, 1984, and Aug. 30, 2014, respectively. He married the former Debra "Debbie" Malone, Sept. 28, 1985. John was a devoted husband, brother and uncle. He was employed as a production worker with Otis Spunneyer in Murrysville and was a graduate of Southmoreland High School, Class of 1972. He was a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Scottdale and enjoyed collecting, riding and working on quads and trail bikes. John will be sadly missed by his loving family: his beloved wife of 30 years, Debra "Debbie" (Malone) Davis; his two sisters, Kathy Carnes and her husband, Chuck, of Newark, Del., and Laurie Werry and her husband, Gene, of Acme; his two brothers, Robert "Bob" Davis and his wife, Dorota, of Mt. Pleasant, and James "Jim" Davis, of Scottdale; his nine nieces and nephews, Adam, Andrew and Alex Carnes, Julia and Nolan Davis, Kristin MacDonald, Jennifer Kernicky and Maddy and Michael Malone; his mother-in-law, Barb Malone; and his brother-in-law, Paul Malone and his wife, Lisa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Donald Davis; and an infant sister, Susan Davis.
