JOHN W. CROCK, 88, of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015 at his residence. John was born October 12, 1927 in Greensburg, a son of the late John W. Crock, Sr. and Olga (Erickson) Crock. He married the former Betty J. Noble on October 18, 1950.
John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He worked for 40 years as a truck driver with B & P Express and was a member of the Teamsters Union. John was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving as PFC during WWII, and was awarded the WWII Victory Medal.
John will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 65 years, Betty J. (Noble) Crock; his three children, Deborah Paluzzi and her husband Edward of Greensburg, Beverly DeMatteo and her husband Joseph of Greensburg, and Jason Crock and his wife Debbie of N. Huntingdon; his 13 grandchildren; his 11 great grandchildren; and his very close friends, Martha Chomko, and James and Dorothy Stewart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Barry W. Crock and John D. Crock; a sister, Virginia Walters, and best friend Steve Chomko.
