JoAnn Elizabeth Thompson Kish Secrest, 93, passed peacefully Thursday August 13, 2026 at Eichers Family Home, Normalville, PA.

Born January 5, 1933, the daughter of the late Albert and Nellie Thompson of Dawson, Pa, JoAnn retired from Anchor Hocking Glass with 33 years of service. Known as a very hard worker and a woman of strong faith, she was a lifelong member of the Vanderbilt Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children - Barbara Cortese and husband Joe, Nancy Sechrist, Samuel Kish Jr and wife Elaine. Surviving grandchildren are Sam Kish III and wife Stacey, Michael Sechrist, Matt Kish, Joe Cortese Jr., Stacy Stillwagon and husband Dan.

Also surviving are her siblings Philip Thompson, Terry Thompson, and sister Kay Brower. She was also blessed with eight great grandchildren Seth, Ethan, Riley and Alex Kish, Jacob Kish, Joey and Will Cortese, and Brook Stillwagon.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Samuel A Kish Sr, second husband Richard (Jake) Secrest, brother Darrell Thompson, son-in-law Melvin SechristJr., and granddaughter Jennifer Marie Cortese.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing at Ferguson Funeral Home in Scottdale Sunday August 16, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Viewing on Monday August 17 at 10 AM with a funeral service at 11. Interment will be at Green Ridge Cemetery in Connellsville.
