Joan R. (King) Kuhns, 83, of Scottdale, passed away at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2022, in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Joan was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Charles and Joan (Ruth) King. She was married to Harold E. Kuhns for 66 years, and he passed away on Dec. 11, 2021. Joan was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She was a longtime faithful member of Scottdale Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school and was a member of the Joy Class and Funeral Meal Committee. Joan enjoyed bird watching, reading and watching animal TV programs. Joan will be sadly missed by her loving family: her daughter, Lisa Biller; her grandchildren, Jeremy Biller (Amy), Jamie Showman, Erin Mobley (Garold), Blake Biller and Revee Biller; her great-grandchildren, Brianna Showman, Morgan Heinbaugh, Guin Haines, Lexie Mutchler, Brooke Biller and Gabby Trout; her great-great-grandson, Grayson Haines; her sister, Rachael Perlick (Jerry); and her brother, Barry Tikey. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynda Robinson. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale ( www.fergusonfunerals.com ). Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Additional viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in Scottdale Church of Christ, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Mike Hazelton officiating.
