Jennifer Lynn Trout, 54 of Scottdale passed away at 8:30 PM Friday, December 22, 2023at the home of her fiancé's mother in Alverton. Jennifer was born September 18, 1969 in Mount Pleasant a daughter of Donna Jean (Keefer) Trout of Scottdale and the late Robert Dean Trout, who passed away in 2007.
Jennifer was a graduate of Southmoreland High School, Class of 1987 and worked in the food service field at the former Marathon Gas Station in Scottdale and with SouthmorelandSchool District. She was a member of the Center Bethel Church of God in Alverton and enjoyed crafts especially painting wood and rocks and coloring books.
Jennifer will be sadly missed by her loving family; her fiancé, John Dale Askey Jr., of Scottdale; her mother, Donna Jean (Keefer) Trout of Scottdale; her two children, Robert Willis "Willie" Trout (fiancé Kylie Sieber) of New Stanton and Katelyn Taylor of Greensburg; her grandson, Anthony Trout; her step-son, Malachi Askey; Sean Askey and wife Rachel; her three sisters, Julie Miller, Jill Suzanne Loucks, and Jody Kepple (Tim); and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son, William Thomas "Tommy" Taylor, Jr. on October 25, 2022; her paternal grandparents, Willis and Rita (Ruffner) Werry; and her maternal grandparents, Wayne and Lois (Shaw) Keefer.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 SPRING STREET, SCOTTDALE (www.fergusonfunerals.com). There will be no viewing. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at the New Stanton Assembly of God Church with Pastor Ron Ingelido officiating. Please contact the family for date and time of service. Final resting place will be in Green Ridge Memorial Park. Love Lasts Forever!
