Obituary

Janet Elaine Mulac, 96 of Connellsville (Dunbar Township), passed away at 4:16 AM Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at her residence with her loving family at her bedside. Janet was born January 5, 1926 in Uniontown, a daughter of the late James T. and Catherine (Swink) Mullen. She was married to Charles Edward Mulac, who passed away on May 5, 1999.

Janet was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She graduated from Connellsville High School, Class of 1943 and received her BS Degree in Biology, Social Studies, and Geography from Indiana State Teachers College. Janet taught kindergarten for several years and then operated the family business, Mullen's Day Care Center where her students fondly referred to her as "Miss Jan". She was a longtime member of the Vanderbilt Church of Christ and enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, and baking.

Janet will be sadly missed by her loving family; her children, Sherie Clark of White, Joseph Mulac (Karen) of Connellsville, Robert C, Mulac (Rae Ann Speelman) of Connellsville, Dr. James Mulac (Jill) of Somerset, Michele Puskar (Barry) of Dawson, and Jerry Mulac (Brandy) of Dawson; her son-in-law, Dan McLaughlin of Connellsville; her 16 grandchildren; her 12 great grandchildren; her three sisters, Patricia Lee of Kittanning, Elida Micklo of Savannah, GA, and Mary Zundel (Ernie) of Belle Vernon; her brother, Larry Mullen of Connellsville; her sisters-in-law, Frances Mullen and Guvher Mullen; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy McLaughlin; her granddaughter, Kirby McLaughlin; her sister, Catherine Williams; her two brothers, Thomas and Jimbo Mullen; and her son-in-law, Oliver Clark.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 Railroad Street, Dawson ( www.fergusonfunerals.com ). Family and friends will be received from 3-8 PM Friday and 10-11 AM Saturday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday with her son, Joseph Mulac and Pastor Greg Pelc co-officiating. Chapel committal service and interment will follow in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery. Love Lasts Forever!
