Obituary

Jane L. Lynch, 92, of Scottdale, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015, in the Mt. Lebanon Palliative Hospice, Pittsburgh. Jane was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Lower Burrell Township, a daughter of the late Clement and Elsie Stotler George. She was married to Harry E. Lynch, who passed away Jan. 14, 1993. Jane was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was previously employed as a retail clerk in Scottdale at her son's business, Barry's Grocery Store, and also at Jimmy Bryan's Sportswear, Campbell's Dairy Bar and Burn's Drug Store. Jane attended the Scottdale Church of Christ and was active with the Scottdale Mennonite Sewing Circle Comfort Zone. She enjoyed embroidery, cooking and traveling. Jane was most noted for her seven layered jello salad, filled cookies and pumpkin pies. Jane will be sadly missed by her loving family; her two children, Judy Sager and her husband, Ronald, and Barry Lynch and his wife, Vicki, all of Mt. Pleasant; her four grandchildren, Debbie Wilkins and husband, Scott, of Mt. Pleasant, Todd Sager and wife, Debbie, of Vanderbilt, Christopher Lynch, of Chicago, and Nicholas Lynch, of Seattle, Wash.; her great-grandson, Todd Michael Sager, of Dunbar; her great-great-granddaughter, Marlena Sager; her half-sister, Betty Davis, of New Kensington; and her two half-brothers, Clem George, of New Kensington, and James George, of Florida. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Susan Lee Sager; and two brothers, Clifford and Norman George. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastors Bob Chambers and Donald Bowers co-officiating. Chapel committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Bullskin Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Love Lasts Forever!
