James C. "Pap" Suhan, Sr. 80, of RuffsDale, passed away at 6:55 PM Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at his residence. Jim was born March 14, 1941 in Clinton Township, Butler County, a son of the late Charles and Kathryn (Copenhaver) Suhan.

Jim was devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother. A 1959 graduate of Scottdale High School, he served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Jim worked as a steel mill laborer and retired from the Elliott Corporation in Jeannette where he was employed as a technician. He was an avid Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins fan and loved watching his grandchildren play sports. He enjoyed coaching, being involved in softball, gardening, and wine making.

Jim will be sadly missed by his loving family; his four children, James Suhan Jr. (Cathy), Jeremy Suhan, Laurie Miller (Dave), and Jonathan Suhan (Kristen); his ten grandchildren, Jessica A., Samantha, Kristen, Jessica N. Andrew, Christopher, Amber, Ashley, Dakota, and Gabriella; his seven great grandchildren (and one on the way); his two brothers, Allan Suhan (Sheila) and Donald Suhan (Kathy); his two sisters, Doris Rizza and Alice Haney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel where Full Military Honors will be bestowed at 8 PM Thursday by the Scottdale-Everson Honor Guard.
