Obituary

JAMES B. STONER, 86 of Scottdale, passed away peacefully at 10:22 AM Sunday,
June 10, 2018 in his residence. Jim was born February 29, 1932 in Scottdale,
a son of the late Wilber and Iona D. (Aspey) Stoner. He married Patricia
"Pat" (Jordan) Stoner on October 12, 1957.

Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He
retired from Duraloy Blaw-Knox in Scottdale where he was employed as a
draftsman and estimator. Jim was a faithful and active member of Christ
United Methodist Church in Scottdale, a member of the Married Couples Class,
and volunteered at spaghetti dinners. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he
served as a PFC in the US Army. Jim was an athlete, playing softball, golf,
and basketball and was a member of the United Methodist State Championship
Basketball team. He graduated from Scottdale High School, Class of 1950. An
avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan, he adored his grandchildren and enjoyed
swimming and family vacations to the beach. Buck Up!

Jim will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 60 years,
Patricia "Pat" (Jordan) Stoner; his four children, Teri Butchko and husband
Paul of Dunbar, Lori Campbell and husband Scott of Norvelt, Jimmy Stoner and
wife Tracey of Hanover, and Julie Denski and husband Joe of Irwin; his seven
grandchildren, Chad Cichocki (Amanda), Jenny Butchko, Adam Butchko (Leah),
Ross Campbell, Kristy Campbell (Wes Caldwell), Alex Stoner, and Kelly
Stoner; his two great grandchildren, Camron and Caleb; his two brothers,
Wally Stoner and Denny Stoner, both of Scottdale; and several nieces and
nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his
brother, Jack Stoner.
