James D. Orlando, 61, of Vanderbilt, passed away at 7:03 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018, in Uniontown Hospital.

Jim was born May 12, 1956, a son of the late Frank D. and Rose E. (Bonadio) Orlando.

Jim was employed as a track laborer with CSX Railroad for the past 43 years and was a member of the former Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Dawson. He graduated from Connellsville High School and was an active member of the Independent Italian Social Club in Connellsville. He was also affiliated with the Sons of Italy Club in Connellsville and enjoyed rebuilding cars, hunting, and fishing.

Jim will be sadly missed by his loving family: his son, James D. Orlando II and his wife Sara of Virginia Beach, Va.; his three grandchildren, Isabelle, Adrian, and James; his two sisters, Nancy Orlando of Connellsville and Patti Kessler and her husband Joe of Vanderbilt; his nephew, Jared Orlando; and his uncle and aunt, Pete and Sue Orlando of Dawson.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the Ralph E. Galley Funeral Home, 501 Railroad St., Dawson, 724- 529-2611, www.fergusonfunerals.com. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, the hour of a blessing service, in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Father Bob Lubic serving as facilitator.

Private burial will be in Dickerson Run Cemetery.
