Irma "Laverne" Christner, wife of the late Ralph L. Christner died peacefully Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Harmon House Convalescent Care Center, Mount Pleasant with loved ones by her side. She was born the daughter of the late Leslie and Barbara (Kineer) Colbert on August 25, 1939. Aside from her husband, who passed away on July 25, 2007 and her parents, Laverne was preceded in death by her children, Barbara Christner and Larry Christner.

Laverne is survived by her siblings: Rhea Thompson and husband Bud, Joan Booker, Joyce Hribal, and David Colbert and wife Darlene as well as her daughter, Amy Perez and husband Julio; her six grandchildren: Stephanie Christner, William Hall, Leslie Hall, Charles Fuller and wife Jessica, Joshua Fuller and fiancée Amanda Keffer, and Ashley Fuller. She was blessed with nine great grandchildren: Haliegh, Madison, Carleigh, Levi, Sidney, Gabby, Wyatt, Everett, and Aurora; and many nieces and nephews. Laverne was a graduate of Frazier High School, Class of 1957 and a retired sales associate with Brilhart Hardware in Scottdale.

Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 RAILROAD STREET, DAWSON (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friend will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Saturday and 2-3 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel where funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday with Pastor Dave Watson officiating. In lieu of flowers the family would ask that monetary gifts be made to the funeral home. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Dawson VFC Immediately following her service.
