Hulda Hodgkiss Stepp, 92, formerly of Scottdale, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, in Eicher's Personal Care Home, Normalville. Hulda was born Sept. 25, 1925, in Tarrs, East Huntingdon Township, a daughter of the late Ray and Sibbit (Baird) Hodgkiss. She was married to John M. Stepp, who passed away Nov. 14, 1984. Hulda was a devoted sister, aunt and a faithful member of the Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church in Tarrs. Following her graduation from the Greensburg Business School, she moved to Washington D.C., in 1943, working as a project planner with the U.S. government. In 1962, she relocated to Flat Rock, N.C., and was employed there until her retirement in 1990. In later years, she lived on Orchard Avenue, in Scottdale, enjoying jigsaw puzzles and reading novels. Hulda will be sadly missed by her loving family; her sister, Beverly Sterrett and her husband, William, of Scottdale; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Katherine Lowstetter; and her five brothers, William, Ray E., Charles, Donald and Leo Hodgkiss.
